  • Author: Sophie

Description

Dubai chocolate brownies are the ultimate luxury dessert—made with camel milk, saffron, Medjool dates, dark chocolate, and topped with edible gold leaf.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 200g premium dark chocolate (70% cacao)

  • 150g unsalted French butter

  • 200g organic brown sugar

  • 100g Medjool dates (pitted and puréed)

  • 60ml camel milk (or whole milk)

  • 3 large eggs (room temperature)

  • 100g all-purpose flour

  • 30g cocoa powder (Dutch-processed)

  • ½ tsp ground cardamom

  • ¼ tsp pink Himalayan salt

  • Edible 24K gold leaf (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C). Line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment and grease lightly.

  2. In a heatproof bowl, melt chocolate and butter over a double boiler until smooth.

  3. Add brown sugar and Medjool date purée. Mix until combined.

  4. Stir in camel milk, then beat in eggs one at a time until the batter is glossy.

  5. In a separate bowl, sift together flour, cocoa powder, cardamom, and salt.

  6. Fold dry mixture gently into the chocolate batter. Don’t overmix.

  7. Pour batter into prepared pan and smooth the surface.

  8. Bake for 30–35 minutes. Center should be soft but set.

  9. Let cool completely. Garnish with edible gold leaf before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • For a richer texture, let the batter rest 10–15 minutes before baking.

  • Substitute camel milk with almond milk for a vegan version.

  • Gold leaf is optional but gives authentic Dubai brownie flair.

  • Serve with saffron ice cream or rose tea for a full experience.
